Tomodachi Collection is a 2009 Nintendo DS Mii life-simulator by Nintendo, released only in Japan. It is the predecessor to Tomodachi Life (3DS, 2013), which did get a worldwide English release. This version on GlorpMath is the original Japanese DS ROM running an English fan-translation patch (Jjjewel v0.80), so the menus and dialogue are in English. It is not an official Nintendo English release — it is a community translation of the Japan-only original.
Tomodachi Life (2013, Nintendo 3DS) is the bigger, polished sequel that got a global release. Tomodachi Collection (2009, Nintendo DS) is the original that started the series — smaller in scope but with the same core: create Mii lookalikes of people you know and watch them live, befriend, feud, and fall in love. If you loved Tomodachi Life, this is where it all began. If you've never played either, this is a great, weirder, more lo-fi entry point.
The DS has two screens, and the bottom one is touch-controlled. On desktop, use your mouse on the lower screen as the stylus — click and drag for menus and the Mii maker. Arrow keys are the D-pad; Z/X/A/S are the face buttons; Enter is Start. On a tablet, just tap the lower screen directly. The EmulatorJS menu bar at the bottom has Save State, Load State, fullscreen, and control remapping.
Yes. It runs entirely in-browser via the EmulatorJS Nintendo DS core — no DS, no cartridge, no plugin, no download. GlorpMath serves it unblocked over HTTPS with zero external calls, so it works on locked-down Chromebooks, school laptops, and tablets. The ROM is large (64 MB) so the first load may take a moment. Use the Access Links page if the main domain is blocked.
You can play Tomodachi Collection for free right here on GlorpMath. No downloads, sign-ups, or payments required. Just click play and start having fun instantly!
