Points are earned by performing controlled drifts through corners and courses, with longer and more precise slides scoring higher. Chaining multiple drifts together without losing control will multiply your score, so focus on smooth, sustained slides rather than short bursts.
New vehicles are unlocked by earning points and progressing through the game's difficulty levels. As you build your reputation and accumulate in-game currency from successful drifts, you can also upgrade your current car's engine and performance before moving on to new rides.
The key to successful drifting is combining throttle control with the handbrake — accelerate into a turn, tap the space bar to initiate the slide, then use the WASD or arrow keys to steer into the drift and keep it controlled. Shifting gears with Shift at the right moment also helps maintain the ideal engine power for longer, higher-scoring drifts.
